  1. Hi Dawn, My name is Lisa. I am 37 yrs young,LOL! I have 2 children, 13 yrs and 17 yrs. I'm engaged to be married in October, I have struggled with weight loss all my life. I started weight watchers with a friend a month ago and have been really been changing my eating habits watching trying not to eat bread (which I love)and cutting out sweets. But have barely noticed any weight loss. I also have started walking on my treadmill that I purchased almost a year ago :/. I enjoyed reading your story. I live in VA but used to live on Long Island. We moved down here when I was in high school. My doctor started me on Phentermine today. So I took it this morning. Do you have any suggestions while on it? any suggestions at all are greatly accepted ;) please keep in touch & good luck on your journey! we can do this!!!

    1. Hi Lisa, I too have struggled with weight loss since having my children...I find the Phentermine 30mg which I take to be really helpful as it helps you to not feel so hungry. During the time I am on this medication, I want to make the most of it by working out at least 2-3 times a week. I feel if I do more it will just burn me out. The only side effect I have had is dry mouth which is ok since it helps me to drink more water or even crystal light. I am going to a weight loss doctor who has me on a protein shake for breakfast and lunch and then a 550 calorie dinner which I try to keep as a protein and a vegetable...though I can't tell you how much I miss my noodles, rice and mashed potatoes. It is really hard in the beginning but as time goes on and your mind is determined you won't even want to waste your calories on that stuff. I just think to myself how much time is this going to take to burn off. Another great tool is My Fitness Pal where you can log your food for the day. They even have an app for the phone. I log everything I eat that way I know what's going in and what I am working off. Just stay motivated and determined and you will see that weight fall off.
